The student, faculty, and parents of Immanuel Christian Academy welcomed area pastors to a Pastors Appreciation Luncheon recently. The pastors joined the children for a joint Friday morning chapel and were welcomed to the breakfast buffet through a tunnel of students giving them high fives and hand-made cards. The Parent Teacher Fellowship provided a large assortment of breakfast casseroles, pastries, and fruit. The children enjoyed the breakfast with the pastors, and even if children did not have a pastor that was able to attend, they still enjoyed breakfast treats as well. Several pastors’ names were drawn for door prizes, with beautiful gifts being provided by the school and other gracious donors.
Believing that those who “labor in the Word and doctrine” are worthy of double honor, the students, faculty, and parents of Immanuel tried to give that honor to those pastors who were able to attend the special morning with the students.
